Finds from the weekend.

Sunday's are usually our Flea Market/ Thrift store days.

This weekend was no exception.

We found a few things that we liked and agreed on that were too good to pass up!

First, we found this breadbox.

It cost us $2.00

The door of it is in good condition but it's body could use a cleaning and some paint.

When we're done with it, it will look better than ever! 

Trust me.

Next, we have this tray.

It was bought from the same vendor at the Flea Market.

It cost us $1.00

There are so many things I can do with this but I'll have to throw it in the dishwasher first it was also dusty.

Our next item is a table bought from Goodwill.

It cost $ 3.99

It a children's table. It's meant to be outdoor table.

It looks like it's vintage and if it is, it's in great condition.

The legs are metal and the top is plastic.

Levi would like to keep it the way it is, while I would like to paint the tabletop.

For now, we're going to give it a good cleaning and leave it the way it is.

Hopefully, we can find some cute children's chairs to go with it. 

This next item was my favorite. 

It too came from Goodwill.

It's an upholstered ottoman/bench.

It cost $9.99

I fell in love when I saw it.

I can't wait to re-upholster it with some white vinyl.

Lucky for us, the legs are wood so they are going to be sanded, stained and gold tipped.

It will look like something you would see in an upscale, luxury home and it will cost more than we make in months. Only instead it will be in my home and it will have only cost $10 and it will be from Goodwill.

Now back to our finds.

The next find is not really a find at all. 

It's more of one of those instances where I knew they were at Target and it was only a matter of time until I made up my mind to finally buy them.
They're shower curtains from Target that I will cut in half, sew and use as two window panels.

You may have seen them here as one of the options for curtains in the guest room.

However, they didn't make the cut.

Fortunately, they go very well with the color scheme in our bedroom.

Previously we had curtains in there (that you haven't seen yet, sorry) but they narrowed the options for accent colors in the room. But that's for another post on another day.

I also love that I can get two panels out of one shower curtain that cost $25 at Target.

Regular window panels cost $20 each at target so instead of buying four for $80 I can buy two shower curtains, split them and spend $50.

Not that $50 isn't a lot of money, which is why I waited a while to buy them.

Well, I'm afraid we're at the end of this post. 

As you can see, there are a bunch of new projects to work on 

not to mention the projects that are already in process.

But I hope to be back with updates frequently.

I will now leave you with some pictures taken during our weekend.

 We had a "Sleeping Beauty" party after dinner on Friday night.

I just spread out a blanket along the floor, threw some pillows down there and

baked a cake complete with princess candles.

It had been a while since we did something special for Mia and we're 

guilty of getting caught up in projects and other things.

We also made crowns out of construction paper. 

It was a way to let her be creative and keep her occupied while the cake was baking.

It's always fun having family time!
